Coming off medication

Hi there. I've suffered with PP a couple years ago and was put on sertraline and aripiprazole. My psychiatrist has said I'm ready to start coming off the sertraline only. So I have come off it in the last 2-3 wks but feeling terrible! Really sick, really dizzy, fuzzy head..... Is this normal?

I've not taken the drugs you refer to but I think it's quite common to experience some kind of side effects / withdrawal symptoms when coming off this type of medication.

Really sorry you're having such terrible side affects coming off the drugs. How are you feeling now? I hope a bit better. I would definitely recommend talking to your psychiatrist and asking them about the symptoms?

I also wonder have you come off the drugs slowly. I know that this is definitely recommended and what psychiatrists usually do. I came off my anti psychotic very gradually, so that when I finished I was on the smallest dose so I think the withdrawl wasn't that bad.
