Hi

I have taken 15mg for about 1 year. The benefits are you sleep better, take one just before you go to bed and you will sleep till morning. Do not read the instructions, if you do it will scare you off them. I tried increasing to 30mg but it did not help so dropped back down to 15mg. I am now coming off them as I feel I do not need them anymore. The big thing about a cure for Anxiety is that pills are not the answer alone. You have to use all the methods, CBT, distraction, good diet, breathing exercies, take up a hobby to occupy your mind. If you have a headache you take a paracetomol, headache goes. It is not the same with anxiety. Take a pill and it does not dissapear, it helps but only a little. You will read this many times on this site. Good luck and do ask me any questions

ye mirtzipine is effective for anxiety, calms you down, better than sertraline or other ssris, side effects are sleepiness and lightheadedness, these will disappear after a few weeks,I would give them a go, you will find your anxiety dosen't dominate your life so much..and the sleep is great.....

I had really severe high anxiety. My doctor put me on citropram and didn't see any change after 4 plus weeks. So saw a specialist in Austria (the doctor here sent me straight there), she gave me mirtazapine and after taking 1 table (30mgs) the horrid feeling I was feeling went. It seemed like my "magic pill" it is non addictive. I recommend you to take it. Hope you feel better soon.
