In the US it’s called “Neighborhood Watch”. Look for any suspicious goings on. See something, say something. My neighbor just bought a new expensive car and I know they can’t afford it. A neighbor goes for a run in the wee hours and has different clothes on when they return. A police car sits across from my house every night and I know they’re watching me. A stranger is going door to door and I think they’re casing out the houses for potential robberies. A neighborhood dog is using everybody’s yard for their own personal drop box. Im out for an evening stroll and someone wants to know my intentions. That’s serious stuff 🙄 but nobody sees anything when all four tires disappear from my car. Cameras are where it’s at now. I can sit in peace and be one with whatever I’m doing. They catch everything. Big brother is definitely watching you. Or me. Lol

They’re awesome animals. Too smart sometimes. A friend raised one from puppyhood and it took a while before he quit hiding her underwear. She set up a bell for him to ring when he had to use the potty. He was a sweetheart and a handful.

In the UK they are everywhere too. even I have 3 on my house. Good or bad who knows. I think it was better when the older ladies did it, They added their imagination onto it!!

cameras are good deterrents, but they do take the human touch out of the picture. I love it when someone runs down the street yelling…ALIENS!
