Bon jour mon Ami. C’est Shnookie. This is a very profound writing for me in so many ways. I am very fortunate as a Jewish
woman that that my father, aunt and grandparents against all of the odds
survived the Holocaust. I lost 95% of
my father’s family. Yet with that destruction. They arose and reconstructed their lives. From being upper middle class in Poland to coming to the U.S. with nothing.
This didn’t stop them. Tho they had emotional scars, they rebuilt their lives
and became a part of American society.
This ability to change and rebuild their
lives is an impetus for me to go on with my life during this pandemic.
