Earthchild10, if by heightened senses you mean more aware of sound, lights

and smells, then yes. Any thump in the night(or day) would get my anxiety going :) xx

It gets me to be impulsive.

With my anxiety, I got so hyper-vigilant I almost lost my sanity. My X was an abusive alcoholic and one angry human being. If something was not where he thought it should be or someone flushed the commode while he was showering, he would just roar. When we would be in a mall and I happened to touch him he would say to me in the most hateful voice to get away from him. I started walking behind him. I was constantly looking ahead for any "land mines." I made sure no one used the shower when he was or flush a commode-oh my god so many land mines. I got to the point I was afraid of my shadow and I wanted to buy gun. Me, someone who has never held a gun. When I write about this stuff, I can't believe it was me but it was. That person was so beat down and unaware she was beat down, that-- well it was the saddest days of my life.

So, yes to your question.
