I've held many hands of patients as they take their last breath. There was peace in knowing they did not exit this world alone.
I've seen people that we never thought would go home walk out that door.
I've listened to those that were frightened and tried to help them get through.
There is such a reward in being a nurse.
It's a tough job. It's not like it is on TV.
It's a calling.
