Bowel issues with Edoxaban
Bad luck! Try taking it with food - you should get used to it in a few days; if not, contact your healthcare team.
was started on 20mg rivaroxaban, and had terrible digestive problems. Was changed to apixaban which is supposed to be better, not sure yetI
Hi, I have been on Edoxaban for two weeks and have some recurrence of pre existing digestive problems following gallbladder removal. After a stroke a year ago and going on Clopidogrel, blood tests showed raised bilirubin which on investigation for possible liver issues actually turned out to be significant gallstones leading to the gallbladder being removed. My digestive system has adjusted to the lack of a gallbladder, until now. I noticed in possible issues with EDOXABAN are raised bilirubin levels. I think it is appropriate if the symptoms persist to see your GP. Although there is no requirement as I understand it for regular blood tests on Edoxaban, my GP has asked me to get tested since the Consultant recommended my drug change following detection of AF recently. I hope this is helpful but it is only my experience.
