Hi I'm melv 41 and just been put on lifelong warfrin I've got dvt pe and no inferior vena caver witch is rare I'm waiting for professor s black for surgery on this issue I'm asking out Thier will I be able to carry on with my line of work I'm in road construction and prone to knocks and cuts after I'm better could be a long time away but love my job

Hi, Melv - that's something you're going to have to ask your doctors, I'm afraid. Does sound like they might want you to drive a desk for a while, at any rate. But it'll probably be a fair few weeks before you need worry about that.

Tommy's/Guys is fantastic, isn't it? We are very lucky to be under their care - you hear some awful horror stories.

Hi, I do I very physical job, refuse and street cleansing,I just finished a phased return to work, I wear the stocking while I am at work which is very good, I've had a few bumps scratches since been back but all ok so far, my dvt/pe came from broken fibia and tibia below knee doctors didn't want me to go back said it was too physical, but I said I would give it a go , so far so good

Cheers lopat that's refreshing to no I lay tarmac and Thier saying bout the steam and fumes from the tar but glad for your input

Well I wear a mask over my face, so you should definitely wear a mask if you do go back

That's good mate but for me I'm standing on 153 degrees tarmac and I couldn't wear a mask it's way to uncomfortable and having no main vein running in my leg just very confused I suppose I'll have to wait for my surgery thx for your input
