My name is ineseo ,I have had 4 open heart surgeries, the mitral valve replasment. I just had a pacemaker and a difibrilator
Welcome and congrats on your surgeries... I know how scary they are. Please listen to me as I tell you only avoid those things with high vit k amounts such as kale, spinach, lettuce and olive oil, otherwise just eat as you did before the surgeries but smaller quantities. I didn't and it was a big mistake. I was monitoring every morsel of food I put in my mouth... this is not necessary and it can cause you to be frightened. Just eat as you used to and the drs will adjust your warfarin to you. Do exercise such as walking or what your Dr has cleared you to do. No need to be all sorts of afraid. Do you have Anti phospholipid syndrome also? Why did you have the valve repair? Click the cursor on my name to get my story. Welcome, again😁
Do not avoid eating the green veg, I enjoy a sandwich with lettuce, a salad is not complete without lettuce, I have eaten kale. You eat what you enjoy, avoid only what is advised on the leaflets provided, avoid cranberries and grapefruit if taking Verapamil. Count your calories, don't overindulge on the goodies. Exercise is good as long as you follow the guidelines.;
I don't think original poster is still on here. No response?
