Are you going on holiday in uk? If u wAnt to go abroad its then best to ask your consultant or doctor to make sure. But ive been many times to wales on warfarin and i drive there.

I went to Somerset for a week about 2 weeks ago, but found I could not get and INR done without about a week or more notice. So the message is; make sure you can get your blood tests done, if you are not stabilized enough to get a self testing machine, and you can't get an INR done while you are away, you might be advised to postpone.

Hi,

Have you had the Clexane injections before the Warfarin? I got advised to go back on them couple days before, during and couple days after my holiday as i'm flying in September. that may be a better option? or you could switch to an alternative medicine? I am on Rivaroxaban and its working great for me and i have decided to stay on it until after my holiday instead of the injections.

let us know how you get on :)

Hi Cheers

Clexane is often recommended before .during and/or after flying, particularly on long haul flights for people who are concerned about DVTs. If you are already on Warfarin however then this does the same thing and Clexane is not necessary and it would be dangerous to take both at the same time. I would just stick on Warfarin when you travel on holiday and ignore Clexane as others do. Are you flying when on holiday and why are you on Warfarin?

Not what you're looking for?
