Hello, been a while. I have been having some issues with wounds on my buttocks. They come up looking like long blisters with yellow liquid. Any medical professional that looks at them say they don’t look like typical pressure wounds. Has anyone else had any issues?
Wounds: Hello, been a while. I have been having... - AMN EASIER
Wounds

sounds to me like fungal more than pressure. Talk to your doctor.
Here is what happened to me. I am in a wheelchair but active. I live in Texas and it gets hot in the summer. I spend a great amount of time working and playing outside and got spots that became bumps and a wound.
1) make sure it is not an infection. See a doctor and have it tested
2) keep it dry. Towel off well after a shower. I sometimes use an alcohol wipe to help with the drying
3) invest in an anti fungal crème, talk to your doctor
4) if it is really bad, medication can be prescribed
5) if you can, during the day, lie on your stomach occasionally.
6) I also found putting a vey thin diaper or feminine pad between my underwear and bottom helped absorb the sweat while in the heat.
hello - that sounds nasty. Personally when I have had pressure sores in that area they haven’t always looked the same way at the start. With the discharge it could be a wound that has got infected. Good luck and I hope it can be healed quickly.
sounds nasty - hope you get some relief soon.
