Hello everyone,
Happy spring wishes. Just curious if anyone has been prescribed or is taking Sinemet?
Hello everyone,

I’m unsure why that would work. It’s used specifically for Parkinson’s when they have low levels of the neurotransmitter dopamine. In AMN that is not the cause.
Yes, you would think…
However, I’ve just returned from my consultation/assessment with the team at KKI Johns Hopkins, and this is what has been prescribed.
From my understanding, and I don’t have all the visit notes to completely digest the conceptualization at this point, I have developed—as a result of AMN—dystonia and contracture of the ankle. Sinemet, at a sub clinical level of what would be typical for Parkinsons, is to treat this.
I realize this may be about my biomechanics and neuromuscular/systemic vulnerabilities converging (if you will) with AMN, but surely I am not the only one???
I am in the titration phase in terms of dosing at this point, but it may actually be assisting me in feeling a bit less stiff.
We’ll see.
