Anyone tried Regaine for men

Hello, I'm new to the group. I was wondering if anyone has tried regaine for men and any success? I have a large bold batch on the back of my head and was interested to see if there's been any success using regaine or any other treatment?

I just wanted to share a personal experience with you - I haven't used Regaine specifically but when i first lost my hair i did purchase a non-branded version of the drug, which is typically just called minoxidil. I was diagnosed with alopecia areata and purchased the minoxidil off a trichologist. I used it for a few months but honestly it had no real impact for me. This was previous to me working for Alopecia UK and since then i have learnt a lot more about treatment options and different types of alopecia.

Minixodil is typically a treatment option for androgentic alopecia (or male/female pattern baldness) rather than alopecia areata (patchy hair loss). Why my trichologist recommended it to me, i'm not quite sure but at the time i didn't know any better. Some dermatologists have been known to suggest minoxidil for alopecia areata but its not common. So this is not to say that Regaine can't work but that it may just be targeted at a different type of hair loss to the one you're experiencing.
