For years I have had two areas on my head that thin, and usually in a round patch. My doctor prescribed a lotion called Bedaderm Scalp Lot 0.1%. I have used this for years, I place the solution on twice a day until I see that the hair has grown back, and then stop. It could be a year or more before I have to use it again, but it always resurfaces again, but using the solution at least keeps the condition under control. Hope this helps!
