Does anyone else have a very tender chest area?

Hi all, I have had tender breasts for ever plus more recently (since menopause, I'm 73) very tender spots on my chest going round under my arms too. Basically it hurts to press anywhere and many spots are acutely painful to press, even lightly. Mostly I only notice this with pressure applied. GP palpated my breasts and I went through the ceiling. She said it wasn't normal. I asked if it could be fibromyalgia as I had cfs and she said absolutely, the two go hand in hand. Am I alone in this?

Hi Ribbony. I am new to this site and only just saw your post. I am 43 and YES! I have very tender breasts, underarms, ribs, under my breasts. Generally anywhere in that area and you only need to touch me and I hit the roof! Sometimes, depending on my flare up, I have different areas that hurt more than others. This flare up is by far my worst and I have that kind of pain everywhere. I literally cannot be touched or stroked even very gently anywhere on my body. Previous flare ups have meant just my hips and arms, back and ankles have hurt but other areas are OK. Not this time though.

I feel for you. It is so painful and I just wanted you to know, even though it doesn't take your pain away, you are not on your own and you're not going mad. It is unfortunately one of the extra lovely things we deal with with this super fun fibro!!😡

Hope this helps and hope you see this reply. Good luck my love xxx
