Hi everyone, how is your weekend going for you. I hope your all doing better than me 😐

Very very poorly today. I suffer among other things something called Intercostal Neuralgia. I had a few warning signs the other day. This morning I'm unable to get out of bed. The pain in the rib area makes breathing very difficult and very very painful. Even eating more than a few bites hurts.

If I was asked to describe it. I would say it feels like a cross between pleurisy and asthma.

All I can do is keep as still as possible and place ice packs on the area to reduce the burning pain.

Been here with it so many times over the years but it still does not make it any easier to deal with. Especially when struggling to breath. So it's a bed day for me I'm afraid.

Does anyone else suffer with this or something similar?

Your poor thing love!! I get simular I have asthma and every now and then Il wake up or it just come from now where I get pain in left rib cage and it hurts to breath I take painkillers and try and keep still as much as I can and yes it's scary to try and breath, I never get an answer from the doctors they just say I probably pulled a muscle lol, u also have something called occipital neuralgia I have a nerve in my neck trapped under the base of my skull it causes me terrible photosensitivity and hypersensitivity to indoor lighting and bright lights and strong smells or loud noise it's not nice at all, I'm gutted for you being stuck in bed sweetheart, busted wanted to let you no your not alone and that I'm thinking of you sending all my strength and love and wishing you a speedy recovery, stay strong love, claire xxx

🤣🤣 Don't you just hate predictive text lol Thank you for your kind support. Yes I just hate staying in bed I always feel so much worse to be honest. But past experience tells me I just have to suck it up and stay here. I hope your enjoying your weekend and resting up a little too 😘

I'm ok love my stomach is giving me grief so on the sofa with the dog in my pjs with hot water bottle waiting for the masked singer on it, then my main man MR TOM JONES 😍😍 on the voice shhh don't tell the hubby☺ he's my guilty pleasure lol, I'm trying to just relax and enjoy the wkend but petrified of having my endoscopy on Tues I had it done in my early 20s and remember it being horrific, but it has to been done, just hope I get some answers, rest well love and take care xx

I wish you luck for Tuesday. Your braver than me. I'm so phobic with anything to do with doctors, hospitals tests. Hence some of the reasons I can take medication.

Well you enjoy your evening and forget all about Tuesday. There will be time enough to worry about that on the day 🤗🤗

Hi Lynne thank you so much for asking, I'm not to bad today just worrying about Tuesday but now that you have said about extra sedation I might ask because I suffer with depression and anxiety so they may if I ask, just considering what to make for tea later I think it's going to be mince and tatties on this cold miserable day, how are you today love xxx
