We are very pleased to announce we have received funding from our local council (Test Valley Borough Council) for a project called Help our Carers. We were 1 of 10 local groups who made it into the 2nd round and from then on, it was left up to a Public vote lasting for 2 weeks. The top three would receive funding and we were 3rd in the voting.
This project means we can provide valuable respite care to families, partners/ carers for our members who live with Fibromyalgia & M.E. We are very grateful for the funding to bring this project to fruition and we know that this will help to relieve a little pressure from caring for there loved one 24/7 365 days a year.
We would like to express our gratitude to TVBC and say a huge Thank You to everyone living in the Test Valley area that took the time to vote for us.
We will keep everyone posted to how the project is going and we have already been in discussion with one Care Agency who has shown empathy & understanding of our carers needs and hopefully after a meeting we can work together to make the project a success.
