hi you lovely people, just something to bear in mind if you have a cardiologist phone appointment.!!I have another cardiologist telephone appointment this coming Monday 17th. It states on my letter and also the NHS message I received that it will take place at 11.20am which is great and no problem.

but last year my cardiologist phone appointment was 2pm but I got the call at 11.50am.!

I still managed to take the call thankfully but only because I was in the passenger seat of our car and not driving.! So because of this I have booked the day off work just be safe this time. He did apologise for the early call but said circumstances had changed that day and he had to call me earlier. I fully appreciate how busy they must be with the work load etc but I just wanted to make you aware of the possibility of an early or later call being made.

all the best guys and girls.

Best wishes

Ron👍

Ty for the heads up Ron. It's important to always plan your day around any calls from your medic. They are busy people and often don't always call on time.

I was just told they would ring between 12 and 4 pm, I think it was, so had to stay at home and keep my phone with me. I’m retired anyway, so didn’t have to take tome off work. Very inconvenient if you have to work though. Can’t say I like these phone call appointments, but they seem to have overtaken face to face ones now.

That’s true sixty. But I don’t mind taking a day off though to be honest because I’d hate to miss a phone appointment even if they do sometimes have to call at a different time that’s stated.👍

I'd hate to have a telephone appointment - thank goodness we are not at that stage in South Africa yet. I like to look people in the eyes when I'm speaking with them.

So do I, but that is the way it’s gone since Covid. You can ask for a face to face one, but you don’t always get it.

Yes I know what you mean. I’m not a massive fan either but there’s nothing much I can do unfortunately.!!

Although after speaking to him today I am having a face to face with him in 6 months 👍
