Numb fingers

I seem to be getting numb fingers, mainly at night and I’m wondering if anyone else gets this. I’m on Bisoprolol 1.25 twice a day and Flecainide 50 twice a day. I have read it can happen on Bisoprolol. It’s the end of my finger tips and Its worrying. Is this normal on the medication, I would be grateful for any advice. Is this something I should be concerned about.

Hi Electric.

I too suffer from numb fingers. I'm on a wide range of meds so maybe they cause this. Who knows?

I find heat makes all the difference. Try wearing a pair of warm gloves when you are in bed. It cured it (much of the time) for me. A hot water bottle might help too.

Happy Sunday.

Rgds Paul

Hi, might be something to consider. I suffer from Raynaud's Syndrome and when I was first diagnosed with AFib I was put on Bisoprolol. My Raynaud's hit me hard. Quick look at the leaflet indicated not to be taken with Raynaud's. Just a thought, hope it helps.

Hi , i read somewhere that benfotiamine can be useful with reynauds, could be worth looking up . Its a FAT SOLUBLE VITAMIN B3.

Thank you.

Thanks Tomred. B3 does seem beneficial to the body in general but had no change taking it. (tried most things as has RS for many a long year!). Benfotiamine appears to be B1, again, no noticeable effect. Cheers Bruno

Thank you, I’ve never heard of Raynauds but I will do some research.

Hi . Nothing to worry about. I get tingling fingers too. Check with your GP if it's still a concern for you.

I sometimes experience this and spoke to my heart team who agreed this is an unfortunate side effect. I also feel the cold more hen I used too. In the summer the high temperature can cause me to feel ill and I have to remain inside! So I can’t win but the alternative is far worse.

It's no wonder I've never seen you and BBC's Nick Robinson in the same room.🤔

Lol thanks not too sure he would think so. I've been told I look like Prince Albert of Monaco!

Yes, not a bad call. I've had people wrongly tell me they've seen me cycling down various roads in London. I keep thinking I hope they don't also wrongly see me committing a homicide.🤞

Don’t seem any upside to better blockers. Side effects are tiring. Thank you for your info.

Cold toes here - the big right toe especially! I think it’s either my neuropathy or the bisoprolol!
