Hi there its me again. Can anyone out there tell me if you can take Bach Rescue Remedy with heart medicine if you have AFib. Took some this afternoon which made me feel much better and it came to mind that some herbal remedies do not go with certain medicine such as axpiban, soltalol.

I'm confident that someone out there will know the answer.

I doubt it would be a problem, Bach Flowers are almost homeopathic in strength, but you could check with a pharmacist for a definite answer.

I'd be interested to know which remedy you took?

best wishes

I think the poster said - Rescue Remedy.

Yes - Bach is a flower remedy, not a herbal remedy - it’s more like homeopathy so there’s no active ingredient but agree it’s very good for shock.

I am newly diagnosed with Afib and used to take Bach Rescue remedy. I will try it again and see if it helps me, I am supposed to be having an echo scan week Monday. If any problems will see cardiologist in Peterborough. But am not doing well with the beta blockers. Will let you know if any information. Good luck Cate

Been taking 'Rescue Remedy' for years. Started it some 30+ years ago during driving lessons, after I had to abort a lesson due to anxiety, whether it actually does anything or just has a placebo effect I don't know but I passed my test first time. Have used it ever since for those times when 'the exam butterflies' put in an appearance and certainly within the last 12 years of Parox. Afib. I have never had any problems with it reacting with any other of my medications and have even taken it during an episode.

Hi, Thanks, l just wondered if you were nearer! I am a long way from you. The cardio is very good at Peterborough. I have an appointment to see an EP from Royal Papworth who has a clinic there. I have had AF for 7 years so am deciding what is the next treatment. I have been well controlled until recently.

I couldn’t get on with Bisoprolol taken regularly so just take it as a PIP. It takes time to get stabilised on the drugs that suit.

I wish you well on this journey.

Chris.

Are you near Papworth, I was in there few years ago. I am not getting on with Bisopropol, am contacting doctor tommorow it's mad my legs swell and I feel horrible on it. I live in Stamford which is 20 mins from Peterborough,.if I have something wrong with my echo I have to go to Papworth. But Peterborough first I think. Am hoping it's ok but am concerned as my feet have been swelling badly. Even before the Bisopropol. I wish you well also and good luck. Cate

Thanks for your good wishes. I live in March, 30 miles from Cambridge. If l have any treatment it will be at Papworth. I am sure they wil look after you, so try not to worry, These drugs can have nasty side effects for some. I am on warfarin because l can’t tolerate the new DOAC’s. Best wishes.

No I am from Leicestershire but now live in Wellington, Somerset. You also live in a nice part of the world been many times to Stamford when I lived in Leicester. I have also had an episode where I did not tolerate a medicine . I also take Bisoprolol and had to ask for them to reduce the dose. I hope you find something that suits you.

Kind regards

Sue

I was given this from an aunt who swore by it. Of course, it failed - but I feel certain it is safe as there's nothing in it that can cause any provable effect.

I have used it for anxiety for years when diagnosed with paf 5 years ago consultant was happy for me to use it when required. It's not regularly but possibly once or twice a month.
