I felt wonderful while taking Bisoprolol but unfortunately it made the bottom of my legs, from the knees down, ache dreadfully.

I'm on bisoprolol 3.75 am and 1.25 pm. My back is always aching. My legs sometimes too but there can be a pause. I suffer from severe pain in my knees; particularly my right knee. All of these symptoms come and go. I don't know if its bisoprolol or Eliquis. It's beginning to get me down.

OMG . I have terrible sore legs with Bisoprolol feel like I’m walking with two magnets sometimes

Yes, lower leg muscular pain for ages. I thought that it was due to my increasingly worn out knees, but when I eased myself off the Bisop, with the consultants approval, the 'muscle pain' went away. Have since had one knee replaced, awaiting the other one to be done soon.

Yeah, my legs ache terribly to the point I struggle getting up from a crouched position, always had bad back ache but seems to have got worse.

Anyone know if there is a better alternative to bisoprolol? I'm thinking it's a contributor to a lot of symptoms I'm feeling.

I am so relieved to be reading your posts on aching legs and feet I have been up all night with discomfort, in feet and legs so uncomfortable. Have been taking bisopropol for two weeks now after a hospital visit to a and e diagnosed with Afib, also have swollen feet. Will speak to go next week. Have an echo scan on Monday 3 so was hopefully waiting to see what that if anything showed up. I am only taking 2.5 of the Bisopropol but can't be doing with this discomfort. Thank you

Awake early also, back and leg aches but aways wake early no matter.I just recently also started statins so not sure if they are also contributing to the aches on top of the 2.5 mg of bisoprolol.

Good luck for Monday

That's not good, I find I end up going to sleep at 6am and feel awful when do wake up. My doctor is trying to put me on statins as well but a friend is on them and they have terrible muscle cramps. I am holding off till I know what is going on with my heart. My bisopropol is 2.5 and am on blood thinners, which if I cut myself takes ages to stop bleeding. Hope you have good weekend. Cate

I take Bisoprolol and have done for many years. I too get aches and pains in my legs but am 70+. My biggest problem with it is coldness of extremities which I know is caused by it and extreme tiredness. I am in permanent AF which doesn’t help the tiredness either but as I am ticking along ok so I leave well alone.

Same here, I have only been taking Bisopropol for two weeks found the coldness very odd but am really suffering from pain in legs and feet and the swelling in feet not nice. I am also falling asleep in the day with exhaustion, and not doing anything to cause it. My body feels like it's done all the house work and run a marathon. I am 72 nearly in couple of days but not impressed with this AFib. Thank you for your help.

I'm 53, never been so cold in the hands and feet, had to buy hand warmers and heated socks, could be raynaulds so the doc said but the bisoprolol doesn't help.

Most beta blockers cause coldness to the peripheries of the body. Some people suffer worse than others.
