Its a horrible draining condition. Rest all day and give yourself a gentle weekend. Glad the af has settled, take care of yourself.

Hi Anxioys37,

I have been reading your posts and see that you are newly diagnosed and have been suffering a lot with your anxiety over it, which bus understandable as it’s new. I have certainly been anxious and at times, in a very low place, but it really doesn’t help the condition.

When you see your cardiologist, do ask as many questions as you can about what to do when you get an episode. In the meantime, although we try not to look for triggers as it can drive us mad, there are things that can help. If you drink alcohol, it’s best to stop if you can. Avoid eating heavy, carb rich meals. Try and leave 3 hours after eating, before you go to bed, are just some things that may help, if it applies.

My GP used to say me that after a fast heart rate your body feels like you've been racing at your very top speed for all that time, so no wonder we feel worn out when we have a longish attack of AF.

Hope you soon pick up.

I have never gone to the ER for it. That’s just but I would rather deal with my doctor that knows me me. They are just going to treat your symptoms and stabilize you. I don’t know what they did for you personally, I think time sitting in an ER and going through everything is more tiring than the actual event and at the end of it end up going home if it’s only your a fib.

I can’t tell you what to do. I don’t know how badly you feel but I still prefer to stay home and reach out to my doctor the next day to check into the ER for about $150 unless they decide to keep if I thought it was one thing but if I went to the ER every time kicked I would have nothing for money

have you tried riding it out at I tell people get your head because the more anxious you get the worse it will I don’t find anything relaxing about the ER or the treatment.

only you know if you should go or not we are all different
