A little Poetic Parable (adapted for us Afibbers!)
I have found that singing calm emotional songs, or even lighthearted, fun ones, can banish the specter of Afib for a while. I wrote this little piece this morning:
"To Bring a Song"
A bird on wing
Overhead soaring,
Seeing everything,
Does not yet sing.
Pulling a worm,
Making nest firm,
Egg sitting long,
With still no song.
At end of search,
Comes chance to perch,
And peace to bring -
It's time to sing!
A feathered need
He daily heeds,
A role to live
His song to give.
With heart askew,
We can renew
A peaceful view,
With song on cue.
God gave us voice,
To have that choice.
Perhaps our heart
Will listen, too!
