So i went doctors yesterday as i keep having headaches light headed and blood when i blow my nose . Knowing these could possibly be side effects of Bisoprolol and edoxaban i went to see him . He said that this wasnt side effects of medication which i found strange as i had read it was . He thinks may have a sinus infection and gave me antibiotics (more tablets) . Has anyone experienced these as side effects. Also thank you to everyone one for the support and advice over past couple of weeks, i have really appreciated it . Ending on a good note my heart has stopped racing now and has calmed down . Just need to get side effects under control. Merry Christmas 🎅

Glad to hear you are feeling better,I went through exactly the same as you, went to the the doctors for something completely different and was diagnosed with afib,it was a big shock.Am still here eight years on,yes good and bad days as well as anxiety. You are in good company on this forum x
That’s sinusitis all right. Medications don’t cause it, just make the symptoms worse 😪
Hi
I recently stopped Bisoprolol because of light headed, closed my eyes and got 1.2 vertigo and had to wait 3 minutes after concentration and then pick up the ping pong ball.
Went down to 1/2 1.25 improved.
Took it away much improved.
No infection.
Rely now on Diltiazem 120mg CD for rid heart only and slight BP jigh.
It seems to be stablizing. Low BP on Bisoprolol.
on PRADAXA 110mg x twice day.

I have been on both Bisoporol and Apixiban for at least nine years and haven't experienced any side effects at all. Merry Christmas. Roy
How's your B12 levels?
I wonder if your doctor is right. There is certainly a virus going around here that is affecting the upper respiratory tract and sinuses in particular causing bloody tissues and "odd head" feelings. OI am on my fourth day of it, and my wife isn't far behind.

Sinusitis can be caused by viruses and fungi as well as bacteria. I would be reluctant to take antibiotics for sinusitis anyway.
Hello Anxious 37 -- I get the same every winter from dry indoor air, sometimes with or without light-headedness, but definitely the bloody nose effect in the mornings. Get yourself a small room humidifier for the bedroom -- it does wonders.
I have a history of nosebleeds (once had to be cauterized) but what keeps them at bay is morning and evening use of a simple drug free spray (sterimar breathe easy) followed by gentle nose blow and then a tiny bit of Vaseline up each nostril. This is on the advice of a sinus specialist.
