New to afib and only just started taking 1.25mg bisoprolol daily; no other meds.I've been sleeping really badly and read that magnesium glycinate can help, but that it also lowers blood pressure and HR? Mine is naturally on the lower side anyway, so I'm worried that the combination of that and the bisoprolol will make it too low?
Any experiences?

Hi there Dwts20, I’m in the exact same position as yourself (diagnosed Dec’23) and I also take the same dosage of Bisoprolol. My HR was always pretty low, resting around 60-65. I’ve now seen a resting rate around 56-58 and from what I’ve read the amount we’re taking (being the lowest daily dosage) has been seen to reduce HR in general around 8 beats. I also take a Magnesium Taurate supplement and find no additional affect on HR or indeed BP. I also remember having read (backed up by my GP) that Bisoprolol (certainly in 1.25mg dosage) has much less of an effect in reducing BP and is used primarily for HR control.
