bisopralol morning or evening?

Although it's recommended to take Bisopralol in the mornings, it leaves me feeling rather tired. On the two occasions I've taken it in the evening I've felt a lot better next day, presumably because I can sleep through the tiredness. I wonder if anyone else finds this?

I was first prescribed it to be taken in morning but it gave me random full flow nosebleeds. Saw my GP and she said take it at night. Did this, no problems ever again.

I split my dose and take half morning and half evening, works well for me.

Me too. Although it was the E/P who recommended it. 2.5mg morning and evening.

Many doctors recommend morning dosage because your heart is most active during the day. But if side effects are overbearing, check with your doctor about splitting the dose or taking in the evening.

The key is your heart rate. Monitor to insure it is being controlled and note any difference between morning and evening dosage.

Hi

Bisoprolol has a 1/2 life.

BP rises in early morning.

I had my stroke Embolic type at 2am.

Please take your Bisoprolol at PM. Have you got the Mylan manuf Grey or IPCA white pill?

I'n ready to take mine now. Leaving 2 PRADAXA 110 out for 19pm and tomorrow 10am.

When I was put on bisoprolol, I was given no advice or instruction on when to take it so I've always taken it in the evening shortly before dinner.

When I was on Bisoprolol, I found if I took it early evening, my heart rate while sleeping would go down to the low 40's bpm which I felt was too low. I therefore preferred to take in first thing in the morning, kept my HR at a nice resting rate of 55-60 throughout the day, and high 45-55 bpm while sleeping at night. I've never found it to cause fatigue during the day, and I have quite a physical job.

When I t ook it mornings I f elt like a zombie all day; couldn't function at all. GP never suggested changing the time but changed my meds. YOu really need to have a word with your GP or the practice's pharmacist.
