I’m currently in persistent AF and I took this ecg on my Apple Watch. Should I be worried about the big gaps?

worried about ecg
My inclination is to say nothing to worry about, that is the nature of the beast....however, that decision is best left up to your electrophysiologist (ep).
For example, if you're on rate control medication's, they may want to adjust them, or not. I would therefore call the office and email them the EKG.

If you are symptomatic ie: feel faint or dizzy then arrange an emergency appointment.
Pauses of 2-3 seconds are normally nothing to worry about but anything longer that happens frequently ask for a rapid referral - you could calculate the length of the pauses?
Certainly keep a watch out and talk to your GP about obtaining advice from cardiology.
Take care.
are you taking Flecainide? These pauses are typical for Flecainide users.
I think we all get them. Sometimes with AF the group of cells that set off a normal heartbeat, the sino-atrial ("SA") node can become damaged and this can cause pauses, but those aren't what your ECG shows from what I have read of them. Still - you need a doctor to reassure you, and I am sure your practice will let you email in an ECG trace for a doctor to view and comment. I have done that a few times now.
