I've been on Eliquis for some years, but today the Superdrug pharmacy where I get my prescriptions just gave me the Sandoz version of Apixaban instead of my usual Eliquis.
She said that they can no longer get a specific make - they just use whatever brand they're sent.
Has anyone had any issues with the Sandoz make of Apixaban?
I don't mind changing, as presumably the Sandoz one is cheaper for the NHS, but would like to know if it's caused problems for anyone.
Thanks.

Never noticed any difference, I believe most places in the UK changed to generic brands at the end of 2022 when the patent rules were lifted. I never had Eliquis again after that and had a few different ones including Teva and Sandoz without noticing any problems.
They should be identical, with both being tested to the same strict and comprehensive pharmacopoeial quality control standards; indeed, if there is any formula variation allowed within these, then both products would be allowed to do this.
There have been previous questions about this (see the search facility). I've not experienced a problem but you may wish to look back at others experiences.
Hi. I've had Sandox along with many other brands and no issues whatsoever. My current one is from Stada, which was a different one again but still no issues.
Good to hear that no one seems to have a problem with the various generic Apixaban products. However, my wife definitely had issues with Teva - she became very neurotic and emotional, couldn't stop crying. Things instantly reverted to normal when she got back on to Eliquis. Her prescriptions now specifically state Eliquis. Hopefully they won't suddenly change to a generic.
