What is the best and most economical apple watch to buy to monitor hr 25 hrs/day. just had ablation and in nsr but Dr wants continues monitor for afib over next 90 days going to try Costco

Apple Watch
Try John Lewis also may actually be cheaper
Or you could buy a reconditioned one.
The Apple Watch is great for checking things but a 24 hour monitor it is not. It will not capture all AF automatically and can miss quite a lot of it in my experience. Same with other watches and wearables.
See “Things you should know” at the bottom on this link support.apple.com/en-us/120276
Best wishes
Buy a Kardia, an awful lot cheaper and just timetable to use it several times a day.

Seems like doctor would provide a holter monitor. Zio patch is also highly rated. Both could be replaced to meet the 90 day requirement.
If you do have to purchase, check the Wellue site. They have a chest monitor that will provide continuous monitoring like a holter monitor or Zio patch. Cost is less that a standard Apple watch. However, the SE Apple Watch is only about $189.
(* have not been to Wellue site in awhile, they did have)
My husband’s cardio also recommended he get a watch so the he didn’t need to have a holter every 12 months after his ablation. As the cardiologist said, the holter only gives him 24hrs of info whereas the Watch can give him 12 months worth. Watches aren’t cheap, but I’ve had mine now for about 3 years and obviously the longer I have it, the better of averages out price wise.
