Really worried about having this test don't like it when they put the contrast in to raise your heart rate. I am scared it will start the AF. Also worried about the radiation.

i had this a few months ago. Yes it’s horrible when heart rate goes up but it’s not for long and they are watching carefully. I was told it’s the gold standard for heart tests.

I would find out and satisfy yourself it is really essential and if so go ahead. I had one 10 yrs ago and no known side effects. Sorry can't remember why I had it and what the results brought to my AF treatment.

I’ve had 2 of these tests, with no side effects, l personally think you can over stress yourself by thinking it’s going to be bad, I take an Kindle in with me, to read, or play a game of patience on it, to distract me, and keep everything calm, you can use a Smartphone, and download the appropriate apps, to do the same thing, it really does help! You’ll be fine! x
