Can anyone please advise whether PAF should be declared to DVLA when renewing car licence

DVLA/PAF query
Only if it can affect your driving or your ability to stop a vehicle.

Some will advise you to declare it anyway to be on the safe side.
Best wishes
PS. Bus, coach or lorry licence. You must tell DVLA if you have arrhythmia.
I've had PAF since January 2010. Regardless of what DVLA or DVSA state in their myriads of paperwork I have always declared it. Remember ... beware of paper trails! Apart from which I hold a PCV ( bus drivers ) licence too.
My logic is that if you declare it nobody, but nobody, can ever challenge you ! I also declare my GP's name, address and phone number. I also make preecisely the same declarations to my prvate car insurers too.
Why do I do it ..... because I'm playing safe as I have an inherent dislike and mistrust of Government Departments and Government Statutory Authorities based on total abject bungling I've experienced and from what I've seen in my bus driving career.
My philosophy...........declare all then you cant fall foul of any rules/regs/claims etc
I've also declared it to the DVLA and my insurance company. Both have noted it but aren't particularly bothered. I've done it for the same reason as Opal11.
i declared persistent af and was given all clear to drive.
I contacted DVLA and they said yes, to declare it.
Thank you Jajarunner, reply appreciated
I asked my Cardiologist and she said that I didnt have to declare it.
my licence was revoked for six months after declaring PAF. Got a 3 year licence back but told full medical application would be required for next renewal.
I let DVLA know I had PAF and they said as long as it didn’t affect my driving, it was ok. Always best to let them know.
