Integrative Cardiologist

Hi all.

Does anyone know of a UK based integrative cardiologist?

I am in NSR thanks to the usual cocktail of meds and awaiting a third ablation but after reading Stephen Sinatra's book I am keen to seek an alternative opinion.

Thanks

Thanks for asking, I would also like to know if such a person exists in the UK.

I spoke with Mr Google ( other search engines are available) may be have a look at "the London Heart". I don't know if it would fit the bill but there's a chat bot with whom I did not engage.

I had a friend who worked there for a while, they gave it glowing recommendations but I don’t believe they had a cardiologist but worth having a look.

What is an integrative cardiologist?

Dual trained doctor who has specialist knowledge in nutrition & Lifestyle but also may take an holistic view ie: the will treat the person, not the only the dis-ease. Probably some such as Dr Chattergee or Dr Rupy is as close as you will get.

Great question I ditto interest in this!

We too have implemented Stephen Sinatra’s recommendations.

We are also currently working with a functional medicine practitioner alas not cardio specific, looking to rectify general underlying imbalances and deficiencies. This will of course help the whole system so fingers crossed there are down/up stream benefits.

You are unlikely to find one, because the most important thing is that strokes are prevented, and whilst there are plenty of things (eg certain vitamins etc) which will make them less likely by making the blood less likely to clot, there is no way of knowing how much of anything is needed to actually efffectively prevent them, so no doctor will take the risk of recommending anything.

However there are lots of things you can do yourself by way of lifestyle changes, which can help to decrease the burden of AF, many of which are strongly recommended. I suggest you try drjohnday.com/ as there are lots of suggestions there, and keep reading on here as well.

Best wishes in your search.
