My daughter just got married!

After my ablation in April, which was followed by rapid resumption of symptomatic AF, I was concerned that I might not be in a good place to deal with my lovely daughter’s wedding on Saturday. I'd had a cardioversion to restore normal rhythm but worried the cocktail of stress/ emotion/ alcohol might cause issues on the day.I'm pleased to say that despite a sleepless night in the mix my heart behaved impeccably. I only had a few sips of bubbly for the toasts as I didn't want to test what alcohol might do on the big day having steered clear of it for months.

I have my follow up at the John Radcliffe in Oxford tomorrow and hoping I may be able to reduce my bisoprolol dose.

Thank you for your support to everyone who replied to my earlier posts during some gloomy times. And to anyone in the early stages of recovery from an ablation I'd say give yourself as long as it takes to let your heart heal and remember it will be worth it when you can do everything you've been looking forward to doing.
