Hello,

Is there anyone who can tell how often ECG (electrocardiogram), lung, liver and thyroid tests are done during long-term amiodoran intake?

If you are taking Amiodarone six monthy liver and thyroid tests are advisable as well as regular eye testing.

6 monthly bloods, indluding thyroid, echocardiogram yearly nothing for lungs unless a dry cough develops, as far as I know. That is what my husband gets + pacemaker monitoring, never had eye tests but do that privately anyway.

I had regular bloods up to my valve surgery came off Amioradone. 8 weeks after surgery my Thyroid function was off the scale high caused by the amioradone. So you need to have checks constantly after coming off as well.

Took nearly 2 years to get the Thyroid back to normal
