Apixaban

This morning I took two 5 mg Apixaban instead of one within 10 mins. My question is will it be ok and should I miss the one in 12 hours this evening?

Dont do any head banging and yes probably best if you don't take this evening's tablet. Why not ring your pharmacist if you are concerned

As you advised I phoned pharmacist and he said to miss the evening one and avoid manual work like gardening where you might hit your self etc so all good! Thankyou 👍

Yes, I would do that. And have done in the past: lobbed 2 Apaxiban in instead of 1 Flecainide and 1 Apaxiban. Here to tell the tale. 😀

I have done that. Could kick yourself afterwards couldn't you! Never mind. When it happened to me i didn't take the evening tablet and just carried on the next morning. As it is a weekend and no doubt difficult to contact your doctor, could you ring your pharmacist as they are usually well informed. Good luck and don't worry

I've done that once and just waited to take the next dose the next day. It helps to have one of those Sunday through Saturday pill boxes. Helps to not take 2 by mistake. But we're human. We all make mistakes sometimes. Take good care. Sarah from San Diego.

thanks.. as you can see from my earlier comment I checked with pharmacist and just missed the next one … and avoided banging my head during the day 😉

Hi, I did the same ages ago and phoned 111. They took note of my weight and did some sums and said i would be fine. Did feel daft though. Haven't done it since. I thought i was going to bleed from my finger tips 😄 (not really)

yes I panicked a bit but spoke to pharmacist ….no issue!
