Thanks to all who replied, supported and advised re my previous rant about my cancelled ablation two weeks ago.
My scheduled ablation 3/7/24 was cancelled a week before due to junior doctors strike knock on effects. The cardiology waiting list co-ordinator was very sorry and promised to arrange new appointment as soon as she could as a priority, true to her word bless her I now have a letter with a new appointment in 3 weeks, I am so pleased and very impressed with Trent Cardiac Centre and the cardiology waiting list co-ordinator at Nottingham City resolving this so fast. Fingers crossed the procedure is successful and I can get some life back.
My cardiologist recently increased my Flecinide from 100mg to 200mg which has stopped the persistant Afib and put me in NSR some of the time and often Bradycardia with my HR dropping to 45 and lowest 35. I have been told to stop Flecinide, Bisiporolol and Digoxin 3 days before procedure and stop taking Riveroxaban the day before, I expect Afib will return when I stop taking Flecinide. I do feel better out of Afib which has been persistant for 6 months, but still very tired and little energy, but I am hopeful things can only get better !

Thanks Jean, I have informed EP that it happens since taking higher dose, usually in the morning when I take the first dose, most of the time its between 45 -56, before Afib I was quite fit and my HR was usually around 60, but Afib made it so erratic it would jump to 170 for no reason at rest and my blood pressure was quite high 140/90, now my blood pressure is normal 117/68. waiting for reply from EP.
I have had occasion HR of 37bpm while taking 2.5mg bisoprolol. It didn't concern my cardiologist but is something to let them know about. A persistent rate below 60bpm while resting is called bradycardia, and is common while taking beta-blockers.
Hi steve. Thanks for info - back in Afib last night after taking flecinide and feel rubbish today, still in afib this morning . Looking forwrad to ablation and hope it works.
Great news! Make sure to rest well afterwards, then rest some more. And maybe when you’ve started taking easy walks rest some more! Wishing you a successful ablation.
All the best for your upcoming ablation ❤️I had mine in March despite a 12 month wait and although a few blips following the procedure seems to be doing ok.
I am surprised they are stopping your anticoagulant before the procedure at our hospital to go you continue to take it
Hi Karendeena. Thanks for reply. Glad to hear your ablation went well. Cardiology just rang me this morning and confirmed take last riveroxaban day before produre and other meds three days before, I presume I will be back on them after op.
