I take Xarelto manufactured for Jansen Pharma, distributed by Bayer. I don’t have experience with any other thinner and haven’t experienced any issues with it.

Xarelto has been good for me over many years. I like the once per day dose (convenient) but the price in the US is ridiculous! Finally found a way to get the medication from Canada Pharmacy (with help from my physician) and now pay far less. I pay out of pocket but it is about one third the price I was paying even with US Medicare.

I was on Xarelto for 5 years then I read that Eliquis was a better drug for Afib, so I changed to that. Not only was the twice a day a nuisance, but it gave me heartburn - so back I am with the Xarelto or iXarolo as it is called in called in South Africa. The funny thing is, when it first changed names (same tablets, same manufacturer, just a different name on the box,) it was considered a generic and was much cheaper than Xarelto. However, the price has now gone up and it is more expensive that Eliquis ! In reality, it is Xarelto in a box with an Africanised name! But I will stick to it, the statistics in suitability are marginal, and I can take it with my last meal of the day which is usually around 5pm.
