Was wondering if any of you fine folks are having or have had bouts of frequent PAC's and what you are doing or what your doctor prescribed to get rid of them. I'm still in sinus rhythm according to my EKG but experiencing PAC's daily. I am currently on no antiarrhythmics and on Metoprolol for rate and Amlodipine for BP. Eliquis of course too for stroke risk. My bloodwork came back with no vitamin deficiencies as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Had Ablation in '23 lately suffering from frequent PAC's.
Ectopics seem to be very common following ablation, going by the numerous posts about this. Personally I found them more symptomatic than AF but they did eventually decline in number and intensity as I healed but probably 9 months before they disappeared entirely.
I never even mentioned it to my doctor or took anything as I avoid medication as much as possible. I found certain triggers - bending over, over exercising, over stretching after exercise, getting over tired. I found gentle stretching, lots of rest, slow gentle exercise - yoga and Tai Chi, keeping hydrated and eating smaller meals (stomach is adjacent to heart) all helped.
Breathing techniques such as slowing your breath down to 6-7 breaths per minute - breathing in for 7 and hold and breathing out for 11 (7/11 breathing) helped when they got very pesky.
Everyone is different of course, but good hydration is key for me. I'm similar in that I had a successful ablation 2 years ago but still get ectopics. They tend to arise when I've been working for a few hours without remembering to take plenty of water on board.
They don't bother me much anyway - I was in persistent AF before my ablation and by comparison they are nothing!
Investigate D-Ribose and Berberine and get off gluten.
I’ve had these increasingly so since my ablation in 2019. They are now very frequent, even persistent. They can be as troublesome as my AF such is also increasing in frequency. So far, it’s not too bad overall.
I have been told my coming ablation, maybe a year away, will tackle both the AF and PACs and that, essentially, there’s not much between them. I’ve just been given flecainide to try to calm them. Fingers crossed.

I suffered from PAC's and PVC's before and after my ablation. Some days are better than others but I suffer from them pretty much daily. These seem to make them worse for me: being hungry, eating too much, acid reflux, artificial sweeteners, spicy foods (see acid reflux), dehydration and acidic foods (again see acid reflux). The vagus nerve in the body regulates digestion and heart rate, so it is no wonder that when the stomach is not happy, neither is the heart.
I had an ablation in for AF in 2022. I have been experiencing a lot of ectopics for about a week. I wore a monitor recently and see my cardiologist in a few days, so hopefully we will arrange a plan to tackle the PACs/PVCs.In the meantime, the things that are reducing my ectopic burden are flecainide 75mg twice daily, deep breathing exercises and simply lying down. Lying down used to trigger my ectopics and AF, now it calms my heart, which is odd but I will take it.
