Changed from Bisoprolol to Tidiem. taken 2 so far but can’t tolerate the SE. I seriously nearly took myself to AE last night. Can’t catch my breath, feeling panicky and in AF What’s next or am I just one of these people who can’t tolerate meds

I couldn’t tolerate Tildiem, took it for one day and my heart went nuts so went back to Bisoprolol.

That sounds like bisoprolol withdrawal symptoms, don’t blame the diltiazem. You can’t stop bisoprolol cold turkey without those.

Each time I’ve took it the symptoms have worn off. Been bad all day today with symptoms but now I’m due to take it again, they’ve started to wear off again. I can’t go through it again

I don’t agree it’s Bisoprolol withdrawal as I’ve stopped that several times and not had any problem, for me it was definitely the Tildiem.

Yes. considering Bisoprolol is frequently prescribed on a 'as needed ' basis - that's how the Cardiologist prescribed it for me, although I do now take 1.25gm at night as it is a wonderful sleeping pill ! - I would have thought withdrawal would not be much of a consideration with it.

I agree. This happened to me but GP said I would be ok stopping Bisoprolol 2.5mg.I was ill for a week with high BP and pounding heart, anxious feeling. Now settled on Diltiazem and have much more energy and less shortness of breath when exercising.

I became intolerant to beta blockers and their side effects and was changed to Tildiem 300 without any problem.

just a thought but I have an 80 year old friend in permanent AF who has only taken Omega 3 all his life. No blood thinners etc . He walks miles every day and so far is fine!
