ablation done yesterday in Lyon and I’m glad to be home. My second but gosh I forgotten how totally knocked out you feel , walking yo loo and back etc….. I know the routine and wish there was a quicker route bavk as Jean reminded me in the post to Tilly how you can be three months and still feel the heart say woah! Slow up. No easy quick fix eh but hopefully it will be a fix for a few years. The doc said there were lots of rogue electrics he zapped .
throat hurts from the tubes, voice is croaky and I’m hoping to sleep like a baby after a night in Lyon with that awful wedge pushing in the groin!
Back in morzine with weather more like November than may. 🥴
Good luck to everyone else who are sbout to do this .

Pleased to hear that all went well Sue. I never had a wedge in my groin, had to lie flat for a few hours then at some stage they took the dressing off and all was well.
Wishing you a speedy recovery, but as you know take life slowly for a while.
Glad all went well and you are now back home. I never had a wedge either, just a Femstop that reminded me of an old fashioned diver helmet. Yep, I have a vivid imagination.
I know you will but rest, rest and rest. Take care.
Oh dear, I hope it doesn't continue. I remember the pain I had, deep in my chest, which took as day or two to clear after my ablation. If it's bad and you are worried, please get in touch with your cardio nurses or doctor. Best of luck, and rest x
All the best! I am 7 weeks post ablation (in the UK) didn't have the wedge either, just a stitch for a few hours then removed and no problem. I was out walking (albeit slowly) the next day and for lunch 4 days later, although I have had digestive issues probably aggravated by the PPIs according to my GP
