anticoagulation after successful ablation

Barts AF have an interesting article today - lots of ongoing big studies but basically they do not know for certain whether the general advice of ACs die life despite successful ablation is correct. Clearly correct for some, but for all? In the article is also says that if you have no AF after a year after an ablation you are likely to not have recurrence, and the risk of return decreases as time goes on. Can’t post a link - their info comes in an email, subscribing to Barts AF team worthwhile IMHO

interesting as I had this exact conversation with my Arrhythmia nurse this week. I am beginning to think the Apixaban may be causing hair thinning but it may be old age! And vanity

I think it does cause the hair to thin - though I didn't have that much to start with!

I have been on Apixaban for 8 years and the amount of hair that I comes out in my hairbrush is scary!! If I had collected it I think I could have knitted a sweater by now.
