Well, it was great while it lasted. I experienced an AF episode of 190 HR in January that was quickly (2 hours instead of 8 to 12 hours) chemically converted from my previous med diltiazem. I thought it was just a blip since I had been AF free for 4 years and 2 months after a cryo-ablation with no medication. I had another AF episode in March, so the previous episode was no joke. I am now back on daily meds of 120 mg diltiazem ER and getting another consultation in June for a SECOND ablation. Besides being disappointed, I am feeling good and as active as ever. If you can help it, don't let AF slow you down. Keep seeking the lifestyle that you want to achieve.

If I knew then what i know now I would never have had three failed ablations I would have had the cox mini maze done I've wasted too many years with afib controlling my life to the extent that I now have heart failure so have a look into having this procedure its the only near certain cure
I’m with Fairgo. I had 3 years AF free following 2nd ablation in 2014. Had a RST pacemaker implanted 2018 and very little further AF, only when I have infection and huge improvement in QOL.
I think everyone needs individual treatments and there is no ‘one fit’.
