Travel insurance covering SVT
Good Morning I am going to search for travel insurance this weekend,I have SVT on and off,how do you feel with SVT.Im 52 years of age.Kind Regards Andrew
Hi Andrew,
My episodes are like the flick of a switch, often triggered by bending and cause heartrate of 220bpm, which can be challenging for the doctors in A&E to stop. I’m female and 56 now - I had episodes for years which self rectified and I dismissed as palpitations, but it got bad in 2020. I had an ablation and was medication and episode free for 2 years. I then had another episode and am now on Bisoprolol twice daily and Rivoroxiban. Been ok for 14 months, but going to France soon and it’s the first time abroad since this all started, so nervous about it and need to get good insurance.
How are you doing?
Thank you for your reply you sound like your in a good health and things are moving in the right direction.I have lots of short bouts of SVT,afib discoverd after P E clots but am physically well, waiting for an ablation.Ive got my insurance from Staysure its straight foward.Have a lovely holiday in France 🇫🇷.Good Health kind regards Andrew
Would recommend Staysure as well. I would add that we had to make a small claim last year and it was settled promptly with no fuss.
after being refused by staysure allclear took me on
thank you
we use allclear they insured us when others wouldn’t
Thank you
I have declared AF with Barclays Travel Insurance about 6 years ago. They have confirmed I am covered every year since . Having said that I rarely get AF after ablation in late 2018. Touch wood!
