I researched "Gastrointestinal and liver diseases and atrial fibrillation": a review of the literature

A fascinating article came up in the National Institute of Health. I encourage everyone to check out the article since links are frowned on I didn't post a link. However, from what I gleaned from the article the underlying cause of AF, they are pointing to inflammation. Yes, from all the comments re: "triggers". it is our triggers that create inflammation. Many of you have said this. I recently have read and am applying what I read from Super Gut by Dr. William Davis. We modern people lack the necessary microbiome to be healthy, is my take away. I am making my own yogurt from his suggested lists of, which bacteria does what. L Ruteri being his favorite. Adding fermented foods, and fiber to feed the newly acquired bacterial strains. Many of us have Small intestinal bacteria overgrowth. (SIBO) and fungal overgrowth SIFO. There are recipes for that too.

It is too early for me to tell yet if any of this has made a difference, but last night when I took my BP it was 115/70. Normally I was running 135/76. with no medication.

Below is the conclusion on the article:

Conclusion

A bidirectional relationship between gastrointestinal and liver diseases, and AF, exists. An enhanced understanding of the pathophysiology and mechanisms by which gastrointestinal diseases may contribute to AF may lead to novel preventative and treatment strategies. Finally, the development of new and improved treatments for AF should focus on minimizing gastrointestinal and liver complications.

I hope some of you find this interesting.

As I already stated in my post the moderators don't want us to post links any longer. You can do a search just put the question in the search bar.

Sorry, yes you did say, " since links are frowned on I didn't post a link." Concentrating on the diagram, I missed that. It is such a shame to muzzle scientific information which only causes the members to be less informed.

I refuse to make any statements if I cannot back them up with medical scientific information such as a link to a trial in a medical journal; so I don't post. Good for you for making a stab at it, but I wonder how many members will follow your directions when it would have been most helpful just to click and get to the link.

makes sense, especially for vagal triggers, but also because inflammation is implicated in so many diseases. I saw another set of articles about stress and inflammation and how the combination of unhealthy diets and the proliferation of bad news coming at folk from all directions may be building up poor health for many of us.

It is just common sense really, putting loads of artificial rubbish into our bodies will do them no good and that includes treated/preserved meat products and meat poorly reared that goes for the awful farmed salmon too treated with pesticide to prevent sea lice and streaked with white fat.

I have tried to eat healthily for many years but had a poor diet as a child. I now try to observe Tim Spectres 30 different plant based foods each week (not easy in the winter) and I do eat some fish in line with the Mediterranean diet also daily Kefir , Kombucha which I make myself in the summer and Kimchi all to help the gut.

Good for you. I am starting to make my own yogurt and fermented vegetables and a fermented juice which is like Kombucha. It seems to be making a difference. My whole point of sharing the comments in the article is that the information is out there. However, it seems Main stream doctors know less about that subject than we do. Our medical system is more about treating sickness than pushing wellness.

Thanks for letting us know I’ll try and find the article and yes inflammation is the root of many diseases.
