My partner is scheduled for a Cardioversion no fixed date but should be 6 days after preliminary appointment which is on 13/3/24. He has a lot of fluid building up in his legs and probably elsewhere. My question is does anyone know if having fluid will stop the Cardioversion from going ahead. Both his cardiac nurse and his GP said the swelling is concerning but didn't advise anything. He has increased his diuretic.

If the nurse and ep are aware, I would not be concerned. My guess is that in the need to be cardioverted population, fluid build up is not that uncommon.
Jim
His medical records will be reviewed prior to the cardioversion and likely discussed at the preliminary meeting.
Did he increase the diuretic with the doctor's advice ? If not, may want to discuss with doctor.
I hope his increased diuretic was on doctor's advice. He really shouldn't do it without checking.
Yes it was on advice
Glad to hear it. It just wasn't clear in what you wrote. Hope it gets the fl uid down.
Sorry yes I didn't explain properly it was increased weeks ago and doesn't seem to be having any effect.
