I am very grateful to the many forum members that have a wealth of knowledge of the AF journey and gave me comfort and support regarding undergoing my own ablation .
On Tuesday this week I underwent an RF ablation and now at home resting. So far so good and the only issue has been a couple of episodes of vision aura. I believe this can be due to the ablation?
The worst part of the ablation was being quite sick after the procedure from the GA. It was a four hour procedure so perhaps that had something to do with it.
Hopefully I can obtain a successful outcome from the ablation and will definitely reach out if I need further support and advice following my ablation.
Thanks
Keith

I'm pleased to hear that all went well with your ablation. I was sick after my first one too, but that was done with sedation not a GA.
Yes, the aura migraines are often experienced after having the procedure.
Make sure you have plenty of rest now to allow your heart to heal and it's best to have no physical exertion for a few weeks.
Be aware you may feel like going for a walk, but a sudden extreme tiredness can occur and make you feel unable to take another step. So you may feel fine walking somewhere, but not have the energy to walk back, probably best to keep your walks on the level and short for a week or so.
That is good advice. I have been a very physical active individual so resting does not come easy for me. I do however want to give myself the best chance of achieving a successful outcome.
Procedure over with now and you can concentrate on your recovery. Take it easy. I’m three weeks post ablation and also had a visual migraine last night. To be expected
