Yes I did and it was the following day when I took myself to the GP that my persistent Afib was diagnosed. During those first few months it was very difficult for me to sleep because of this I can't say what eventually stopped this as I couldn't take any rate or rhythm medication control beta blockers or calcium channel blockers - which were tried for about 9 months as they all made me feel worse than the AF so I only take anticoagulants. The thing is to be sure that this is caused by your AF as it could be some other inner ear problems -which I have also had and were successfully treated by medication.
also may want to check for paroxsmal positional vertigo. We tend to blame any new symptoms on Afib, but it could this is very common, and treatable - search Epley Maneuver.
From what I have read, dizziness can be common especially initially when first lying down. Should not last long or be severe. Medications can also be a culprit.
