Hi guys I’ve not posted for ages but any help appreciated. I am currently on holiday in Spain and today I have had shaky arms and dizziness then this afternoon went into AF and still ropey now with mild headache. I have no medication and have not been put on any due to ME so just any advice welcome. Thanks in advance.

Have you tried self resolving methods? Holding your nose and mouth shut and trying to exhale quite hard for a few seconds.... bearing down as if to go for a poop.... massaging your carotid artery in the side of your neck?

Drink plenty of fluid and keep your legs higher than your heart until you feel less dizzy that will assist any Blood Pressure being low.

Some people also say gentle exercise takes off their AF episode.

Sounds like you could be dehydrated....this is exactly how my af reacts when I am. Drink coconut water for an almost instant relief. Cheers

Did you get a formal diagnosis of AF earlier this year? Are you taking an anticoagulant? You mentioned just now on the BHF site that you had a numb foot. Has that settled?

Hi oyster yes num foot and arm has gone, yes diagnosed AF in December waiting for ablation butnot too keen on that.

Could this have been a small TIA, particularly if you are not taking an anticoagulant?

Suggest you get medical advice promptly.

I had two incidents when I actually passed out in the street , falling on my face quite badly.

Both times I was admitted to hospital and had Cardioaversion.

On both occasions prior to the Cardioaversion my HR was between 160 and 280.

Expressing concerns is something we do on here when worried. You were not rambling. Big Hug.
