Looking for info from those who have had a Medtronic Reveal Linq LR removed. Wondering what this entails (i.e. what was involved, any pain discomfort after, scar tissue a complication ?? etc.. . ) Mine has been in since February of 2018 so it has been non operational for several years. Initially was told to just leave it in, (let sleeping dogs lie) but am considering have it removed especially if/when an ablation is obtained. TY

My battery is no longer working in mine. I want to take mine out, so I'm seeing my EP as soon as I can get an appointment.

I had mine removed a few years ago in the hospital where it was inserted. Minor op with local anaesthetic. No pain or issue with that but the wound became infected after the dressing was removed at my local surgery and eventually I had to go back to the hospital to have it sorted out. All in all very annoying and inconvenient but these things happen sometimes. Certainly glad I had it removed though.
