had mri scan 7 weeks ago and still no results. How long should I expect to wait . I suppose it’s a good thing that I didn’t get results quick so not classed as urgent . But it’s dragging on now .just want to know really .

Jarvo if you haven't had a letter after 8 weeks contact your GP to follow this up please 🙏 I was told myself after a hospital appointment it can take up to 6 weeks for GP to receive their letter or email! There might be delays due to other reasons, junior doctors strike, more patients in hospital over Christmas and New Year!

Try not to worry too much please! Worry is not good for our hearts Jarvo!

But if you have experienced AF in the meanwhile then call your GP please 👍🙏

That does seem a long time to have to wait. I wonder if it has anything to do with the junior doctors strike. While they have been doing that Consultants have been mainly doing their jobs instead of their own.

Well I wondered that too! Here in Harrogate Hospital they cancelled lots of appointments from the 20th December onwards! Must admit I was very lucky to have an appointment on the 8th of December! Letter came before Christmas! It wasn't fabulous news really, but nothing to do with my heart jeanjeannie! Our health is so precious 👍🙏

Health certainly is precious, but unfortunately we don't appreciate it enough before we lose it.

Wishing you well.

It can take a while for non urgent tests to be examined by the relevant Dr in authority. I've been in a similar position recently. I suggest you call the hospital department who at least will be able to tell you when to expect the results

They said 3 to 6 weeks at the time I had it but it’s now 7 weeks
